#14 How to Reach your Target Market



Now that you clearly defined your target market you can now begin marketing to spread the word about your business to attract new customers.  Marketing does not have to be very expensive nor does it have to be time consuming. Simple campaigns or discounts can create a buzz and create word of mouth marketing.  According to investopedia the following are some common marketing techniques:


  1. Flyers
    • Simply pick a location that fits your target market and distribute brief and to the point flyers highlighting your product/service.
  2. Posters
    •  Design attractive posters highlighting your service and post them up but always seek permission before doing so.  
  3. Word of Mouth
    • Your friends can be a great asset in this regard.  Once they have a fully comprehensive understanding of the business they can always keep you top of mind to refer. 
  4. Discounts/Campaigns 
    • Everyone likes to save money and the thought that a business is giving discounts always attracts business. Another great tactic is referral of business and discounts for the referrer.
  5.  Following up
    • It's great that you have been selling your product but a follow up goes a long way to bring customer satisfaction and in turn learn to customer loyalty.  After any profitable jobs or wholesale purchases always call for feedback and ask for more business.  This shows the customer you interested in them.
